HTTP/2 protocol support and impact on the Erlang SDK
Scheduled Maintenance Report for LaunchDarkly
Completed
LaunchDarkly has delayed the service change to enable support for the HTTP/2 protocol for usages from LaunchDarkly's server-side SDKs. This service change will go into effect no earlier than October 2022 after all impacted versions of the Erlang SDK reach their end of life. By this time, all supported SDK versions will be compatible with the proposed service change.

As this scheduled maintenance is several months away and as the impact will be limited to then-unsupported SDK versions, we are going to close this scheduled maintenance at this time.

Update
The enablement of service support for the HTTP/2 protocol, previously scheduled for February 1, has been postponed to give customers more time to update their applications to use Erlang SDK versions 1.1.2+. We will communicate a new cutoff date soon.

Scheduled
On February 1, 2022, LaunchDarkly will enable service support for the HTTP/2 protocol. This will increase the performance of our Flag Delivery Network for all customers.

However, Erlang SDK versions prior to 1.1.2 will no longer be able to connect to and communicate with LaunchDarkly. Versions 1.1.2+ of the Erlang SDK contain a change which will ensure the SDK continues to work once HTTP/2 requests are supported. Customers using affected Erlang SDK versions should upgrade their SDK to the latest version to avoid any problems.

No other LaunchDarkly SDKs are affected by this change, nor is any other LaunchDarkly functionality.

Please feel free to contact LaunchDarkly Support with any questions or concerns.
